About WCH
The World Congress of Herpetology (WCH) was founded on August 2, 1982. Initial funding was contributed by herpetology societies around the world, and was put toward the first WCH meeting in Canterbury, UK, 11-19 September 1989. The objectives of the Congress are to promote international interest, collaboration and co-operation in herpetology. These are to be achieved by holding periodic international 黄金城游戏es of herpetology, by establishing specialist committees, by serving as the Section of Herpetology of the International Union of Biological Sciences and by undertaking or encouraging such other activities as will promote these objectives. The WCH has continued to meet every 3-5 years since 1989, as proposed by
the constitution. The WCH2 was held in Adelaide, Australia, 29 December 1993 to 6 January 1994, the WCH3 in Prague, Czech, 2-10 August 1997, the WCH4 in Bentota, Sri Lanka, 3-9 December 2001, the WCH5 in Stellenbosch, South Africa, 19-24 June 2005, the WCH6 in Manaus, Brazil, 17-22 August 2008, and the WCH7 in Vancouver, Canada, 8-14 August 2012.The WCH8 will be held in Hangzhou, China, 15-21 August 2016.

The WCH8 will have 9 plenary lectures, 31 symposia in 9 thematic groups, and contributed
paper sessions not covered by any symposium.

Cancellation Policy
1. Cancellation requests made by 31 March 2016: 100% of the total will be refunded
2. Cancellation requests received on or after 1 April 2016: No refund
3. A handling fee (for both credit card and bank transfer) will be deducted from the refund
